I love being strong enough to help a friend move heavy items, fit enough to throw down at a local competition, and crazy enough to run a Trail Ragnar with very little training!

Jeannie Young

I grew up in Utah as the eighth of nine children with a very active and health-conscious mother, so nutrition and physical fitness has always been a large part of my life. In my childhood I dabbled in gymnastics and dance but by high school my attention turned to swimming and track & field. By the time college came I decided to continue my passion for fitness by majoring in it. I received a degree in Fitness and Wellness Management from Brigham Young University. My career has taken me from corporate wellness to personal training to teaching group fitness classes. I was introduced to CrossFit in 2011 and was instantly hooked! I received my CF L1 training in 2015 and went on to coach at CrossFit gyms in Connecticut and Colorado. I received my CF L2 training in 2020 and have loved coaching and working with the community at Park City Fit. We have moved a lot in the past four years and I love that no matter where we go we have a built-in network of friends through the CrossFit community. Outside of the gym I enjoy serving in the community, serving in our church, and spending time with my family. I also love hiking, long walks with my dog, paddle boarding, Yoga, Pilates, and reading a good book.

As a child I was often shy and worried too much about what others might think of me. Even into high school I battled insecurity and avoided many team sports that I now wish I had had the confidence to try out for. However, with time and experience, I have found the confidence and passion through fitness that I have been seeking. CrossFit in particular has made a powerful impact on my life. It's empowering to lift heavy weights, bust out pull-ups or run a 5k. I've learned to do hard things and fight the internal battles that sometimes still rage.

I am passionate about supporting members in their quest for lifelong fitness in and out of the gym. I love helping clients reach their goals and working with clients who are seeking general physical preparedness. Being a mother myself I truly enjoy working with other mothers, including those who are expecting or postpartum.
